Hi friends...
As I begin this post today let me just share some song lyrics that have been replaying in my head since I started typing this...
Make new friends,
but keep the old.
One is silver,
the other is gold.
A circle is round,
it has no end.
That's how long,
I will be your friend.
A fire burns bright,
it warms the heart.
We've been friends,
from the very start.
You have one hand,
I have the other.
Put them together,
We have each other.
Silver is precious,
Gold is too.
I am precious,
and so are you.
You help me,
and I'll help you
and together
we will see it through.
The sky is blue
The Earth is green
I can help
to keep it clean
Across the land
Across the sea
Friends forever
We will always be
The reason these words have been replaying in my head is because I met a wonderful and talented lady. Her name is Svitlana...she goes by the name of "izolda" on Scrapbook.com.
We have been writing back and forth a bit getting to know each other. She invited me to visit her blog as she is offering Blog Candy for the month of August, and OMG the candy is just so delicious!! One of the conditions to winning the blog candy is to link her Candy Giveaway to my blog...pretty simple huh??
Well...that just didn't seem good enough to me. I also felt it important to let her know just what her friendship means to me!! She has only been in America for 2 years as she is from the Ukraine and I wanted to give her a "Big Ole' American Welcome!
I also wanted to let her know just how valuable friendship is to us Americans so Svitlana "WELCOME" to America I am so happy that you are here. I am also so blessed to call you my FRIEND. I hope that by sharing your blog and your blog candy that all of the other AWESOME ladies I have come to know and love will also have the opportunity to meet you too.
