We're Having A Christmas Ornament Blog Hop...Come Join Us!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...
Welcome my friends to the most wonderful time of the year...
CHRISTMAS TIME!!
Please join the "Pride" of Just A Few Friends and I as we share our most purrfect creations with you!! This month our challenge was to create a Christmas Ornament! We could use any style, any medium. So I went shopping for mini baubles, bells, and glitz, not to mention pine cones, and greenery to create the most wonderful little ornaments. And as most of you know, once I get going...there's no stopping me! :)
I came home from Michael's with Bells, mini packages, greenery, pine cones, glitter and glitz! I was so excited to get started on my little ornament. Well one ornament, turned into two, that turned into three and so on and so on. But I will save a lot of space on my blog and just show y'all a few!
This first one I named "Blue Christmas"...
I took a simple bell and added all this glitz and glee to create a magical little Christmas ornament! Feast your eyes on that gorgeous glittery blue poinsettia!! And the beautiful snowflake ribbon that I found.
Here is a closer look...
Now because I am a fan of blue but my Boo is a fan of all things Burgundy or Red...I had to make one for him too!
I must say he was pretty darn happy with it!!
Now I will show you two made of paper...
One is a star or snowflake ornament...
The other is a pretty little origami ornament...
This one was created using lots of the famous "stickles", cardstock, a little ribbon, and a pretty red bell that really works. It is so beautiful!
Too bad after I was done with my Christmas Ornamentitis none of the ornaments worked for our little tree!! As I have know created the most beautiful "Country Christmas Tree". I will post pics of that very soon! And also share some of the ornaments I created for our tree! Looks like all of these lovelies will be going on my daughter's tree!! She will be elated to know they're hers!
If you arrived here first, please follow this link http://justafewdesigns.blogspot.com to find Elsa...our den Momma. After visiting Elsa...please continue to pounce to the next blog and visit all the rest of the den. You will be delighted at all of the talent that they possess.
If you have pounced here from Margaret's blog then please go and visit my brother cub RJ at
  http://thriftycrafterdude.blogspot.com
and see what he has made to inspire y'all to create!
Thank you for visiting me today! I hope that I have inspired you, and ignited your interest in creating your own ornaments this year. If you have any questions about any of the ornaments that I have created, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment, and I promise I will get back to you as soon as I see it!
Now I'm off to den of scrappiness to come up with more awesome goodies to get y'all creating.
Be well friends...I will be back soon...
Until next time...
Be blessed.

A Thankful Gathering Of The "Pride"...

Hii Friends...

Thanks so much for stopping in to visit my little blog of scrappiness! Welcome as Just A Few Friends and I share our November "Thanksgiving" themed blog hop!! The "Pride"
has been so busy creating "Home Decor" goodies to inspire you to dress up your home for Thanksgiving! Please pounce along with all of us as we share our creations with you!

It seems as though we barely began this New Year of 2012 and here we are preparing to celebrate the holidays again. Where has this year gone??

When my children were younger we use to celebrate this day of Thanksgiving by first deciding did we want to eat like the Pilgrims or like the Indians. If we decided to eat like the Pilgrims then of course that meant dressing our table up and having the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. If we decided to eat like the Indians, which is what my children chose most often, then that meant that we created a beautiful patchwork quilt and on Thanksgiving we would spread it out on our living room floor and we would sit crossed legged on the floor on our beautiful creation. We would still enjoy most of the traditional Thanksgiving dishes but would also include some of the dishes of our Native American Indians. But one thing that we always did on Thanksgiving was go around to each person and ask what they were grateful for that year. This year I will be blessed to have two of my three children, and two of my five Grandchildren here with us to celebrate Thanksgiving. Because it has been 3 years since we have been able to celebrate Thanksgiving with our second child and her children we have decided that we would have both a Pilgrim Thanksgiving and an Indian Thanksgiving.

Here is a photo of the "Thanksgiving" Patchwork Quilt that I made.
When our celebration is over, I will be giving this quilt to Jaclyn and her family for their home. I didn't have the help of my children making this quilt this year, but I put every bit of my heart into it just for them.

Next I decided that I would make a little centerpiece to dress the Pilgrim table. I didn't want it to be too overdone as there is always so much food on the table. Here is a photo of my little "Fall Centerpiece" that will dress our table this year. It is just a cute vase I filled with leaves and then I added some sunflowers, which always remind me of Thanksgiving and fall,  and two very cute little scarecrows that I made with my daughters when they were young.
Along with this centerpiece I created a "Fall Leaf Candle" using a mason jar...some paper leaves, raffia, some Mod Podge and Acrylic Sealer/Finisher Spray. Here is a picture of the jar right after it was finished.
Here is a picture of it lit with the candle inside.
Here is a picture of it at night lighting the room...
And a picture of it with the centerpiece at night.
I hope that I have inspired you to create a treasure for your home for Thanksgiving.
My family has so very much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday. A year filled with many changes, for the better for all of us. We have each grown and evolved into better people simply by deciding to live a life of "Thanksgiving". Of being grateful for just what we have today. Having an attitude of gratitude. We have learned this year that if we put our faith in God and our trust in one another,  no matter what is happening in the world around us, our lives will be blessed so that we may be a blessing to others. I can't wait to share that blog post with all of you as we get closer to Thanksgiving...so keep your eye out for my next post. But until then please pounce along with me as all of the "Pride" shares their "Thanksgiving" creations with you. Next up is my hugely talented den brother RJ! Here is a link to his blog http://thriftycrafterdude.blogspot.com/ please go take a peek and show him some love.
In case you got lost here is a line up of all the "Pride" starting with our den Momma Elsa...

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun...At Your Paper Pantry!!

Hi Friends...

So I haven't made you wait as long as usual for another post...Yeah Bon!! I wanted to take a minute to share a wonderful website with you. As some of you know before I go to sleep each night I spend a little time...okay a lot of time on my iPad watching YouTube videos of all of the treasures that are being created by so many wonderfully talented ladies. One night while watching one of my favorite channels..."Enastasia" Natasha Hensel's channel, she mentioned this fantastic place where she hosts swaps and because I wanted to try a particular swap (inchies), I wondered over to the site "Your Paper Pantry" just to take a peek...well what do you know...I LOVED IT IMMEDIATELY!!

Here is the link just in case you want to take a peek http://yourpaperpantry.ning.com/
I couldn't wait to get involved. It took me a bit to get familiar with where things were and how things worked, in fact, I'm still learning. But, once I found what I was looking for, I couldn't have been happier. So I wanted to share my happiness with all of you. Now first you must know, it isn't a free! There is a $12 a year membership. But hey, what's a $1 a month right?? Then I wanted to let you know that they have the FUNNEST swaps! I have already participated in 4 just this month. And lastly I wanted to let you know that you can still get into the swaps for November because the swaps open for sign ups on the 25th of each month and don't close until the 5th of the following month, which means you can still sign up until November 5th...YIPPEE!!!

Now to the fun part...I wanted to share my creations with each of you!

Bookworm "Got Books" Bookmark
"Sew Me Some Love" Inchies

"Boo" ATC Cards

And last but certainly not least my Artsy Fartsy "Thankful/Thank You Tickets"

Now that you have seen my creations I will share with you that this is the first time I had ever made inchies, ATC's or Tickets. What do y'all think???

Now that I have shared a great website with you...why don't you share one of your favorite websites with me??

I'll be waiting to hear from you...

Until then...

Be Blessed.

It's Time For A "Super SpookTacular Halloween" Blog Hop...Come Join The "Pride"!!

Howdy My Sweet Friends!!
Once again life has gotten in the way of blogging...but that's a post for another day!
Right now I would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate the most "SpookTacular" of all holidays...Halloween!!
I want to welcome you to our SpookTacular Halloween Hop!! The "Pride" has been crazy busy creating little bits of inspiration for all of you. Some of us even took Elsa up on the "Slider Card" Challenge...I think that as you all have gotten to know me better y'all know how super excited I was to step outside my comfort zone and create something new...and I think y'all are going to love the card that I created!! What's most AWESOME about my enthusiasm is that Elsa and two of the alpha's in the den will be choosing one lucky cub's project as the "Best In Show" and the lucky winner will be receiving some AMAZING goodies!! As you all know I am pretty competitive and I would love to be the winner of the "Best In Show" but I need your help to do that!!  So please pounce on over to Elsa's den at http://justafewdesigns.blogspot.com/ and tell her which you liked the best...Maybe if you all go tell her that I am your favorite it will convince her to pick me! I hope you choose ME! :D But even if you love someone else's creation better, I hope that at the very least the "Pride" and I have inspired you to create and have fun with  spooky paper and embellies.
So without further ado...I would love to show you my "Super SpookTacular Halloween" Double Slider Card...
The front of the card...
The card as I begin to slide it...
and the card slid open...
Here you can find a YouTube video I made! In the video it might be easier to see all the detail and such. Sometimes pictures just don't really capture a creation as well. I hope you enjoy the video!
And because once I get going I can't seem to stop...I have some other AWESOME Halloween goodies that I have created to inspire you!
First I would like to show you these adorable little "Halloween Gang" Treat Boxes that I made especially for my Grandson's Kindergarten class! I wanted him to have an extra special memory of his very first Halloween, and I hope he has just that.
Aren't they just the cutest????
I also created some of the cutest little altered matchbook candy holders...just perfect for a fun sized pack of your favorite candy...
Here is a little close up of one...
Aren't they just too adorable?? They were so simple to create...and all made from scraps!! That's inspiration enough wouldn't you say???
And lastly, I would like to share with you a picture of the very first ATC card that I have ever created...I hope you like it? I will be making more for a swap that I am in later in the month...just thought I'd share with y'all here first. :)
Halloween "Boo" ATC Card...
Now I would love it if you would take a minute and pounce on over to my brother cub RJ's den and see what he has created...You can find him at http://thriftycrafterdude.blogspot.com/!!
Here is the line up of all the members of the "Pride" so that you don't miss a thing that we have created for y'all.
Before I go...I want to take a minute to thank you for stoppin' by my blog and supporting me! You have no idea what it means to me to have such amazing followers. If you are new...please consider subscribing...It's because of all of you that I continue to create!! If I don't post before Halloween I want to wish each of you a safe and happy Halloween.
Until next time...
Be blessed.

Get Ready...I'm About To "Strut My Style" For All Of You!

Howdy Friends...
It has been awhile since I have been around hasn't it?!? So much going on in my life! But, Now that the leaves are changing color (where you all live at least), and the days are getting shorter, I hope to be spending a lot more time in my little den of scrappiness.

Today I want to welcome you to our Just A Few Friendz "Strut your Style" Blog Hop!!
Please excuse how messy my den looks, but I have been so busy creating in order to maybe inspire y'all to create, and to encourage y'all to stop hoarding all of those AWESOME supplies you have been buying! Yup, that's right...While I have been under the weather I've been watching all those haul videos that y'all have been putting on YouTube. Fussy cut that paper, use that new card stock, get all those pretty embellies out and make a few projects with "Just A Few Friendz" that make you smile and feel all warm and fuzzie on the inside!

And because I practice what I preach...how about I take a minute to "Strut my Style"?!?
Here are a few projects that I have created to "Strut my Style". I'm not certain that I have a style though, as I am pretty diverse in the projects I create depending on who I am creating them for.
Let me begin by showing you a wonderful card that I created especially for my Grandson's teacher...He started Kindergarten this year and I made her all kinds of cute goodies to use in her class and then I included this card with the goodie bag...I hope you like it...

Here is the inside of the card...
She was so pleased with all of the handmade goodies and especially this card.

After which I created these adorable "Butterfly Garden" Matchbook Post-It-Note Holders...

Then I made these AWESOME little Altered Mini Notebooks...

ADORABLE aren't they??

And because I didn't want my "Friendz" at the "Pride" to think I couldn't do Vintage or Shabby Chic I created this Bookmark and Large Tag using Graphic 45's "A Ladies Diary" paper collection.

I hope I have made my Friendz ROARRRRRRR with PRIDE.

...and just because I NEVER leave the "crafty dudes" like my cub brother RJ out, I have made a little something just for them...

RJ...How'd you like it?!?

Oh...and one more thing...this month the "Pride" had an altered photo frame swap...I was partnered with Sherain  http://proudmommy702.blogspot.com/ she is totally into the "Parisian" look and she loves "Shabby Chic". Sherain...this one's for you my sweet sister. I hope you like it.

So now you know the true reason I have been away...well, besides being under the weather for a bit!! Now please take a minute and pounce on over to RJ's blog at http://thriftycrafterdude.blogspot.com/ and take a look at what he's been up to!

Here is a line up for the rest of the PRIDE so that you don't miss a thing we have all created.

As always, I want to thank you for stopping in and with visiting me...Y'all are the reason I create! Why don't you grab a cup of Joe and a warm bagel and visit the rest of the "Pride" on this wonderful "Strut your Style" Blog Hop weekend. Everyone would so appreciate your lovin' comments.
Until next time...May your days be filled with blessings....and beautiful paper treasures!

I May Just "Surprise The Pride" With This One... :)

Hi Friends...

As you all know once a month a wonderful group of designers called "Just A Few Friends" gets together for a blog hop to share our creations with you. We hope that in doing that you are inspired to create yourself.
This month the blog hop will begin with Kimi over at http://uniquescrappiness.blogspot.com/ so if you have reached my blog first...please pounce over to Kimi's and start there!

Some of you may be aware that our Mother Lioness Elsa and her beautiful daughter Krystal will be away from the blog hop this month as they are dealing with some family issues. Please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers.

This creation is very special to me as it is a double dipper delight in that a few weeks ago I was asked to guest design for scraputante.com, as I was working on my idea for our August "Surprise The Pride" blog hop! I thought why not make one AMAZING creation that I can share for both occasions...and so I did!!

As summer begins to wind to an end I wanted to hang on to some of the most precious memories of all with my Grandchildren. So I created what I call my Double Delight Surprise Summer "Let The Fun Begin" Flip Book". Here are some photos of my creation.

Now please join me in the blog hop by pouncing on over to my brother cub's blog at http://thriftycrafterdude.blogspot.com/ to see what RJ has in store for y'all. You will be pleasantly surprised I'm sure.

I hope that as your summer comes to an end that you were able to share some very special memories with your family too and that I have inspired you to create something to cherish those sweet summer memories.

Here is the lineup for the rest of the pride so that you don't miss a thing we have all created.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I hope that you will visit again soon. I will be right here practicing my ROARRRRRRRRRRR!!

Until next time...Be blessed...
